Astute Doctor is an independent provider of professional skills development education and resources specifically designed for medical professionals.
Our programmes and resources are created in close collaboration with a team of international medical experts to ensure clinicians receive highly relevant, reputable and scientifically validated skills and strategies that will directly assist them in the achievement of better health outcomes for their patients.
Programmes are provided which support clinicians in their achievement of Continuing Professional Development objectives, and accreditation is generally obtained for all programmes.
Additionally, with international distribution and the incorporation of live and web based learning environments, Astute Doctor provides education which facilitates the cross fertilisation of ideas and best practice across specialty groups and nationalities.
Astute Doctor has as its core objective, to make a difference as one of the top 10 international providers of medical professional skills education, in equipping doctors to more effectively manage the process of relating to patients, and thereby achieving better patient health outcomes.
ABOUT OUR PEOPLE
Sue Larsen
Sue Larsen is the founder and Managing Director of Astute Doctor, and the originator of the ENHANCE program. Sue is currently leading the global expansion of Astute Doctor and maintains responsibility for managing the Australian business unit. Sue has spent over a decade in corporate learning and development across Australia and New Zealand, specializing in medical and professional skills education. Originally working in the pharmaceutical industry, Sue was at the forefront of designing and implementing blended and e-learning educational solutions across corporations, and has continued to develop her ability to harness online technologies and internet marketing techniques to promote and enrich the e-learning experience for physicians.
Sue holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, Australia and possesses post-graduate qualifications in adult education. She also serves as a director on the board of Astute Doctor Pty Ltd.
Grant Simic
As ENHANCE Program Director for Astute Doctor, Grant Simic carries the responsibility for global product development as well as specifically overseeing market development opportunities in North America and Europe. Since 2001 Grant has been working in the area of continuing medical education for physicians and other healthcare professionals in the European and Australasian markets. During this time he has developed and delivered hundreds of educational programs on a national, regional and international scale, with an increasing focus on e-learning methodologies. Grant has succeeded in senior roles at medical education companies such as Discovery International Australia, Princeton Clearpoint Medical Communications Australia and IntraMed International Europe.
Grant holds a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Sydney, Australia, and is currently based in Milan, Italy. He also serves as a director on the board of Astute Doctor Pty Ltd.
